Location of Long Island, Bahamas and the Port St George resort.
The Islands of the Bahamas form a 100,000 square mile archipelago that extends over 500 miles of the clearest water in the world. The Bahamas, located off the eastern coast of Florida and north of Cuba, comprise over 700 islands including uninhabited cays, islands and islets.
Long Island, whilst only a 45 minute flight from Nassau, the capital of the Bahamas, is a hidden jewel a world away from the well trodden tourist routes. 80 miles long and very narrow, no more than 4 miles in width at its widest point, allowing for constant views to the blue green Caribbean sea or deep blues of the Atlantic ocean. Long Island is divided by the Tropic of Cancer at Stella Maris in the north, and bordered by two very different coasts, the Atlantic, with rocky cliffs and caves that dip suddenly into the sea, and the Caribbean coast with broad white sand beaches.
Port St George will create a destination that will accentuate the mystique, natural and cultural resources of the out islands and yet provide the best in luxury amenities for visitors.
Port St George is a resort and residential community with first class amenities and leisure facilities. The land use plan emphasizes Long Island's natural beauty, takes advantage of the most beautiful waters in the world and utilises these natural features in the ethos and design of the whole project.
